Botticelli is quite a popular one among fun party games falling under the category guessing games, which children and adults play alike.

The players are supposed to have some knowledge about the famous persons whose names are to be guessed correctly basing on the knowledge of their first letter along with their famous biographical details.
The person to be guessed is supposed to be at least as famous as Sandro Botticelli from whose name the game adopted its own.
The chooser thinks of a famous person and reveals the first letter of her/his name.

The game starts in the indirect mode first in which each guesser asks the chooser a yes/no question in order to narrow down the guessing process before the direct mode starts.
In the direct mode a guesser asks a series of yes/no questions and keeps asking till s/he keeps getting a yes answer for her/his questions.
If no one is able to guess correctly, the chooser reveals the name and takes a second turn at selecting another name.

The game ends with a guesser correctly identifying the choosers selection, who then becomes the chooser and the game proceeds further as before.
