Catch Phrase is famous among guessing word games widely played as one of popular indoor party games.
It is designed and commercially distributed by Hasbro.
The game package comes comprising either a timer and a plastic disc containing 72 words on each side or else as a stand-alone electronic device with a random list of words.
The timer is set and the game starts and the goal of each player in turn from both the teams is to make the team guess the displayed word through gestures or sounds not rhyming or matching with the word in question.
Once a team is over with a word whether with a successful guess or with a pass, the other team takes its turn and the game continues till the timer keeps running.
As and when the timer runs out, the team not in play gets a bonus point along with a chance to guess the current word and win a bonus point.
The first team to reach 7 points wins the game.
